I downloaded the G I A NT: Creatures of Morrowind Plugin which adds various dragons, wooly mammoths and elephants to the game, as well as some other things like butterflies. For some reason, a specific file was needed for the mod but wasn't included. Now whenever I enter an area of Morrowind that uses the missing file, the game crashes...
What's worse is if I turn off the MOD and try and load my game, Morrowind crashes again. So I can't play my game unless the MOD is turned on... and if it's turned on the game crashes when I enter certain places. Sucks, huh?

Have you tried contacting the author(s)? I'm sure they would be glad to know about any problems and would work to fix them. If it's just a missing file, they could probably send it to you. Since I've never used this plugin, I'm afraid I can't give any specific help.
BTW, what areas are affected?
Good luck and hope it all works out!

I looked everywhere in MW when I got it when it came out, there's no dragons or wooly mammoths.
Ideot!

Creatures of morrowind throws dragons in a few places(ashlands, red mountain)... they were pretty weak though, also puts in sharks and mammoths in some places(this mod mainly uses lady E's models, you needed to download them from her site, but it recently went down...)
Giants has some dragons and other creatures(doesn't have mammoths, so im not sure if you mean 2 plugins, or just creatures of morrowind...), this plugin has everything you need to run the mod...
I personally don't use either(no offence to the authors, but they were not made very well)... giants is full of scripts which slow the game down, and I crashed more with that one on, and creatures of morrowind has some areas with way too many leveled lists in some cells which makes my frame rate go down to 2-3...
Morrowind advanced is much better imo, cause it makes lots of creatures stronger, adds new creatures, doesn't overcrowd any cells with 30-40 creatures in a cell, and I like wormgods dragon model better than the other one, :p.

Ideot? ... Anyway, there are dragons, as well as woolly mammoths (I must have a newer version of the mod.) I've only seen the Calf's though, and you're right, it's not a good plugin... That's why I'm trying to remove it. As for the areas affected, I've only been in two. One is right above the lake NW of Vivec, and the other is somewhere west of Balmora.

Where did you get that mod Kilana?
Is it the same thing as "Advanced" by GT Noonan?

http://wormgod.8m.com/downloads.html) here, you can get an updated version which has imperial proving grounds and imperial keep put in with it. As well as the new dragon model. I don't go to the summit a whole lot cause I hate file planet, but it might be the updated version there too.
