Thanks, scumble, and it is a compliment, Bowie is one of my main ingredients. I think I ought to register at bandcamp, all the cool kids are doing it.
We should all do a collaborative TTLG supergroup track! Perhaps a cover of something?

You're in luck:
That's what I'm talking about...
I like the message I got when requesting a FLAC download

Ooo! How exciting! It's the first time in a long time (or possibly ever) that anyone has downloaded this file! We're getting it ready now. In the meantime, please watch this thing spin around and around
I may have to give bandcamp a try myself, if I can manage to finish one of my own compositions. Before I've used (
http://drop.io) http://drop.io to send work-in-progress files to a friend, but it's not much good as a frontend for a band's output. Incidentally, I may not be able to resist some experimental remastering - I tend to enjoy it just to see what impact I can have on a finished mix.

At least my perception isn't totally flawed then. Get some tracks up on bandcamp, I think myspace quality has got progressively worse over the site's lifetime...

This is bloody good! Very professional sounding, nice vocal tone, kinda bit Placebo-ish. I like the mix of electronic and acoustic, but would like to hear more synth fatness throughout some of the tracks, like some real dirty 303 pulsing basslines and stuff, less mournful piano riffs, but I can see that is your 'sound'. 'Home' reminds me a little of Killing Joke for some reason. The last track is an interesting departure from the other 3 songs.
You guys should check this out.

I really like the vocals in your band, Faetal. They kinda remind me of Muse, without the pretension.
Thanks guys :D
That's me singing.
Piglick - the stuff I am working on at the moment is a little more intense sound-wise, with the synth end of things going a bit more grindy / raw - what those recroding capture was a slightly more indie moment where I was trying to go for "epic" rather than "raw".

Lots of good music being posted here, really liking I am Immune, good music to solder to.
Being bored recently and tired of staring at the walls wondering what to do I've started making jewellery to pass the time. Seems to be more fun than working in IT at least.

Yeah, faetel, your stuff sounds slick. Not entirely my cup of tea stylistically, but I can see a thing done well regardless.
For those interested, I did register bandcamp and uploaded .flacs of those same four myspace tracks - the quality really is miles better, even streaming. (

Thanks Fingernail, very nice. Jesus Ring could probably stand without much percussion - might be effective used as emphasis in certain places. I can imagine a few rhythmic devices that might be complementary.
Incidentally, I managed to find something I'd done that manages to appear to have been "finished", (even though it actually isn't and has been sitting around unloved for at least 3 years) so I could join the bandcamp crew. Streaming quality is excellent - I'm actually motivated to put more up as it won't sound like crap.

Thanks Fingernail :)
Just listening to your stuff, it reminds me a little of Sultans of Swing (in a good way).
Are you from London? We play there from time to time.
Fingernail on 27/3/2010 at 14:02
Hah, well chip pan fire especially is a bit reminiscent of that, there's also more than a little Smiths in there. Yeah, I'm in London, once I get the new band sorted out we'll start gigging around again. Where do you guys play?
And scumble, yeah, in fact I was thinking of doing something different with the bass rhythm in jesus ring. And for percussion, probably some minimal snare and bass drum stuff, it certainly doesn't need a backbeat. I envisage the drums carrying a lot of syncopation to counteract the very measured 1234 of the guitar and bass.

It varies. We'd played: The Mean Fiddler (now sadly demolished), Islington Academy, Hope & Anchor, Bullet Bar (formerly The Verge), Underworld, Upstairs at the Garage, The Miller, The Betsey Trotwood, Elektrowerkz, Buffalo Bar...erm...probably a few others, but I can't remember.
I'm guessing you won't know all of those as a fair few are kind of back-street places, but I hope you know a few of them. We've been going for around 4 years now and we mainly play London as our guitarist lives there, I'm down in Southampton.
