The label we were on (Wasp Factory) knew a guy who dealt with licensing for whoever was in charge of that for the game basically. It was luck more than anything. We got a perfunctory fee of £500 (they knew in all reality that we were just grateful for the exposure) and bragging rights forever.
I may chase up mechanical copyright income for that actually as I think the game sold 1.4 million units or something.

You totally should. Some say that was just luck. I think in situations like that you've made your own luck. Awesome.
You know about the thing I'd like to work on with you so when your thesis is in get back to me. I've got to build the thing with some dummy tracks but the space is there for you bro. And when that's done I want to do my game, but that's a different story.

Yeah, totally up for that. I'll be cautious with how much time I can invest, since once the thesis is handed in, I need to plan my wedding and right after I get married, I'll be moving to France, so it's going to be a hectic 12 months.
To counter that though, I will be massively streamlining my studio, which should make writing music spontaneously a much simpler affair.
