I can't top that, but now you can check out my long-on-grind zero budget music video (finally)

If you want to, obviously.

Seriously good. However, as I do, I watched it with no sound first, a little disappointed with the music, too energetic. I was hearing something like (

Some of the fades in the middle section were a little jarring, not sure if that was intentional, but I wouldnt be able to tell this from a professional video.

I didn't care too much for the music but I liked the video. And it does look very professional.
Cute hoodie girl too.

Cheers guys. It's funny; that's one of his most popular tracks and one of my faves. I chill out to stuff with fairly quick 'dusty' (as I call it) break-y drums all the time. It just becomes part of the scenery really. If it's got a good spacey backing I find I tune in to that more than anything. I find it tense, but not busy. As such those longer shots and smooth pace for most of it sprang immediately to mind. It was unlikely to hold true everywhere though (someone's already said this track demands a twitchier clip. Had enough trouble coming up with material as it was). Try turning the volume down maybe. I dunno.
There are a couple of duff bits, for sure. One in that middle bit kinda works if you've been looking at it for a long time. But then you watch it that "first time", which is the one that counts, the next day and it's "dammit that's way too abrupt, why didn't I fix that?". Then there's some bits I find fairly lame because I just plain ran out of things to put in (plenty gets scrapped along the way for not working or fitting)
Ah well. Jump in with both feet, you hit a few spiky things.

(
http://www.mediafire.com/?p6iafh3w0tghjh3) Behold, my beginner's attempt at ambient.
Constructed in mostly the same way I do ZSA -- almost total reliance on samples and Goldwave. I'm hoping to incorporate more methods as I improve/have the room for like proper instruments and shit.
Maybe a bit presumptuous of me to already have an idea for an album theme/name, but if I put enough material together it'll make sense.

This is cool! Sounds a bit too compartmental at times, but I like the atmosphere. You should post more as it develops :)
Ghost Cousin is still working on a new record, slowly but surely. Meanwhile I made my own ambient song, in a different style than dethtoll's:

Eeerie but oddly captivating. Reminds me of some of the Fallout tracks.
Well since this thread is up again I guess I can share my latest short story based on a recent peculiar night - (
