So you have different expectations from a Dirty Diana remix and you don't like one that is just about fun and not the struggle that the original song had going for it, fair enough. I'm not going to go into genre discussion and how each genre has subgenres and how elements are not really set in stone, it'd be tedious.

Fine. Lastly, I don't find it as bad as this lengthy discussion seems to suggest. That's just the nature of trying to get a point across on an internet forum. So yeah, not my cup of tea, but keep on making music.

Pretty good, but you still haven't topped Predator and Flatlander yet ;)
Sort of self promotion;
Matty wants more clicks and to know if he's any good or not.

Didn't care an awful lot for the song but his voice and guitar playing are fine; the style of voice perhaps a little a la mode to make it truly distinctive. Specifically, I think there's too much repetition of "I told you to slow down..." etc. during which I switch off. The video's decent though, obviously home made but the quality of the picture and the recording are high enough to make it appealing.
This is something I'm thinking about at the moment, going to try making a video for (probably) this song, French Kisses, which now features some accordion playing from a true virtuoso.

Thanks. Yeah, I think it's pretty good if not great. There's a couple of his other tracks that I think are better. I think he's keeping them in reserve or working on them or something. I don't follow rock and pop enough to say if his voice is common these days. I guess there's usually a few around. The video is a matter of not doing too much really. Since it's all live you tend to run into trouble with synch if you do to many angles and so on.
Videos are pretty fun (and generally the only game in town that's not corporate work, here at least). Definitely worth getting into for the free-wheeling aspect.
