Playing catch up again. After some spit shining I managed to get my old student film up on Vimeo. It's pretty shakey compared to the other one (and that's not without its 'shakes').
It's interesting, I hope, for its ludicrous ambition and the fact that I have to take the blame for pretty much every aspect. It's true what they say; dying is easy, comedy is hard.
Witness the supernatural-drama-horror-rental farce (

The Bond (if you want. I mean, it's 25 minutes long and takes a little while to get going. It doesn't spend any time explaining about rent inspections and property reports either, so hopefully you're up to speed there).
That was pretty darn good. I was on the edge of my seat all the way through, actually. And the comedy relief was well executed too. Well directed and performed by the actors, especially the lead girl. With better lighting it would truly shine imo. Good work! Would see it again, absolutly.:thumb:

that was really good, could have been a little tighter though.

The submissions as well as feedback and criticisms leveled so far in this thread have seemed to be quite decent so I'll enter the fray...

This is my self-made album that I put up on last.fm. All of the songs are available for free download. Hopefully some of you are into the kind of stuff that's on there.

I'd be a bit dubious about calling an album 'Forgettable', but I'll give it a listen.
edit - ok I dont really want to have to d/l each mp3, you cant stream more than a few seconds of each track from that site? The little I heard sounds interesting, perhaps a little bland, but hard to tell from 30 secs of each song.

If you want to listen to the full songs without downloading them, you just click on the song in the track listing, then play it from there. I'm not sure if full albums can be streamed on the site.

Yeh well thats what I thought, but when I clicked on each track, it would only play for a short duration. Possibly a problem on my end?

Same problem here.

I mean you click on the actual song name, not the little play button next to it. That brings you to the song's own "page" of sorts. Then if you play it from there, it has the whole song. The site is designed more for it's radio service than having things played directly from the artist pages, but I'm not sure why it's set up like this. I had the downloading capability more in mind when I uploaded the album rather than the streaming capability.

Three new songs, one re-done, still no bass or drums, although that's planned for... soon!

I'll do bandcamp when I have the time to do the flac conversion and upload!

There you go. I had a listen to the myspace versions on speakers instead of headphones, the compression really is horrendous, there's massive distortion for which I apologise. Partly a result of uploading mp3s and then myspace compressing them even further I suppose. FLAC should be heaps better.
