@ nomad:
as you've writed me, you've already sent your configuration file via priv message, highlighted also in my "Umpteenth Error on 3DStudio Max." thread (the tile says it all... :( )
you don't remember? :D
@ str8g8:
T3_STM.mat : 135 KB Dimension
136 KB Dimension on disc
T3_STM.mlb (original): 21,5 KB Dimension
24,0 KB Dimension on disc

Nothing to do :( :( :(
I've tried to reset in this way (that I think that's the same of mine before) but... no changes :( :( :( still the problem of loading...
At this point, I think that I'll hold the white flag, and I'll use the str8g8 custom textures :(

Sorry we couldn't help you. Sometimes it's best to know when to quit :) The main thing is to get your textures in to T3Ed and start making stuff.

Is not for me give in, let's do this problem set to second priority :p
The mission comes for first...
Anyway, I yearn to this solution.
Praise the Builder

Well, my friend, since my computer crashed and I had to reformat, I haven't been able to get Max to play well with T3Ed, either. :p If I get it fixed, I'll be sure to tell you how.
<edit>Fixed! My viewports weren't set to Direct3D. :nono: That is obviously not your problem, though. Give me some time to rethink your problem.</edit>

No, my problem is another. :)
I can create my own static meshes, and now I can texture it with the default T3 matlibs too :D
NOW, my ONLY problem is that I cannot create a hypothetical matlib composed by two or three bitmaps, i.e. argillabricks.dds, reflectingglass.dds, sunnywater.dds

Remember it's funny about names:
the diffuse texture has to be something_D.dds, the normal something_N.dds, and it seems to be something_P.dds for self-illumination/projection masks.
I recall hazily something about it from a long time ago that without those extra letters it just wouldn't work correctly.

for _P you mean about reflecting surfaces?? because that will be another my future thread, for now that's not the time for it :)
and for _N and _D, i know it, i know it :) I've read the Ulukai's tutorial about building....
My only problem is to create my own matlib.

You could put together your favourite 50 textures and ask str8g8 to build you a special personalised one. At least...that's what I'm planning to do once I'm finished. In the mean time – as said before – the dummy matlib works quite (

(By the way: Is there any smesh to make the hole/end of a drainpipe?)

Yeah yeah! :D But is not my intention!! I've already reached to use his package, but I would like to recur to 3DSMax and create new Matlibs by myself :P, it's a challenge, and it's more practical if I have to create a Matlib with one or two materials..
