Hi! I am hoping to find someone who can give me clues on how to fix this problem. Or maybe it's only fixable by buying new hardware...:rolleyes: I have run searches to find the answer but no one seems to have this same problem.

I am in Seyda neen, doing the Hrisskar/Fargoth quest. As soon as I get on top of the lighthouse and take the last step to look down to see Fargoth the game freezes then crashes, and I have to shut down (cant see start menu though). I can walk around up there, no problems... everywhere else I've been... no problems.

Backup your save files, uninstall Morrowind. Go to the morrowind directly, and delete everything left-over. Defrag, and install MW again.

Fixed it for me. Turned out that some MW files were slightly 'damaged'.
