First, hello everyone! Newbie here (excluding couple of Thief posts). I've played DX now three times and a couple of things are still puzzling me, so let's see if someone knows these ones:
Are the ATM withdraws always the same, whether you hack or use a login? Yes, you get more money with logins, but I mean considering your electronic skills. I'm pretty sure I got more money, when my skills were higher, but can 't swear for it.
How much is it worth upgrading your cloak? Maybe I'm wron, but it seemed that the cloak wore out about as fast, whether it was upgraded to level 2 or level 4.
Totally different stuff: has this happened to you and if so, how do you explain this: Both in NY, when meeting Dowd and being chased by cops and soldiers, and again in Area51, my opponents for some odd reason started shooting each other instead of me! Hiding in Underworld doorway, waiting for a good moment to make a run for it, tle law pulled up and started wasting each other and I just ran through the mess without anyone noticing. In Area51, I climbed to the roof of Sector 4 building very quickly without apparently anyone noticing, and all of a sudden they're at it again. I thought it was the greasels and karkians, but no; they were just minding their own business, enjoying the show:confused: No big deal, but I'd liked to now, is this a mere bug, or is my comp showing me the finger (again). Thanks.

Uh, you probably won't ever read this but hey.
Hacking at a low level gets you less money than at a high level, but if you login properly first, you can then hack the machine afterwards and get money both ways.
With the soldiers, if an enemy shoots another enemy, they will frequently start fighting each other.

Heh, yah thanks. I already forgot this thread but still thanks anyway:)
Yah, I noticed the login + hacking things, just by testing it! I just wasn't sure if tthe higher skill levels meaned more money.
The other issue is still odd, however. I mean, in NY the cops were shooting UNATCO and vice versa:confused: Go figure. Also, in Area51, it was MiBs and MJ12s against each other. No dead creatures or anything, just one helluva mess. Must have been some odd glitch in the game at that moment. Fine with me, less enemies to deal with:)

Fine with me, less enemies to deal with:) In NYC troops often fire "blue on blue" and will start shooting each other due to too many people shooting and running around. For Area 51 one, well, I'd say it's because some MJ12 commando saw you, fired a missle, missed, and exploded near a MJ12 trooper. Then the trooper would attack commando.

Yeah, makes sense. The guys couldn't know why the hell one of them would fire a missile at their feet, heh. Also, the NY bit seems to make sense. I rememberthe same thing in NY with the street fight between NSF and UNATCO. Somehow, in all the confusion, I managed to hurt a UNATCO guy or two and was just wondering why they're all of a sudden shooting at me. Eventually, not wanting to kill anyone, I just slammed armor on and hopped in, running around with a riot prod like a complete idiot, heh. Sure was fun:cheeky:

Hey I dunno if you will ever read this but I got some info for you.
Hacking ATM's: The higher skill level you are, the more money you will get. At level 2, you get 50% of the cash. Level 3, you get all of it, and Level 4 gives you 150% of the money inside.
I haven't gotten to area51 yet, but the same thing happened to me in NY. I thought it was because the troops were shoot on sight, but the thug and the bum were still alive. I'm not sure why this happens, but it does.
I think you said someting about the cloak aug, right? The more you upgrade it, the slower it will drain your energy. level one compared to level 4 is about half as draining. But before upgrading, i recommend maxing out on the power recirculator, as it will allow you to use energy 2.5 times more efficient.

Thanks, bro. I figured out the ATM thingy myself, just trying and taking down notes about the withdrawed sums. That's actually a very nice touch from the designers, adding something like that.
That NY bit is odd indeed and all I can think of is that the game sort of can't keep up with the events and goes a bit out of control because so much is happening at the same time. Why it didn't happen in the street fight I mentioned or in breaking out of 'Ton with Paul, you tell me. it just doesn't make sense, but anyway, it's nothing dead serious so I just give it a shrug and enjoy the show!
Power circulator, eh? I think I actually have never installed/used that. I'm aware of it's meaning but didn't know it was that efficient. Have to give it a shot the next time I play;)
