Cosmology of Kyoto - no 256 color mode

Taking a cue from the discussion about the (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=121681) LSD game I found (http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/2.09/streetcred.html) Cosmology of Kyoto. Fascinating stuff from what I have read. I have trouble loading the program because Macromedia Director requires my monitor to be set to 256 color mode. Doesn't look like my onboard graphics chip supports 256 color mode. Is there a workaround?

EDIT: Problem solved. Right click on .exe and set to 256 color mode.
