To answer my own question:
The baby burrick is in Room 3.

Naturally, I had already awakened its occupant. It was quite a challenge to get in, "spoil" the hanky, get out, use the hanky on the Lord, and avoid various sleepwalking characters on my way to the bell and the lady, but I was ultimately successful.
heyas;
did you guys on slow links try using dap? that lets you resume; that's how i got mine, and the low-end movies.
killer mission, as i'm sure you all know :)
i'm playing on medium (some hints), and some things i think i've almost figured out.... there are plenty of in-game hints, if you read stuff, though :)
i'm having one problem with lady verwhatshername: (now where's this blasted spoiler code...?)
i figured out to switch the ice lady's ice pick with the fire wand, which ought to cause quite a show at her next sculpting fete. i've got the fire wand, and i brought it to her room... but what on earth do i do with it? i can't put or drop it into her toolbox. i tried sticking it in the toolbox (open or closed), the chest, on the letter, or on her. it just won't go.
bloodsong - Hint:
You've missed a step. You have to find a way to make the fire wand LOOK like her ice pick.
Spoiler -
Take it to the blacksmith and he'll do the transformation for you.

The firewand and chisel look similar, but not enough to fool her. Go to your weaponsmith friend (Skaz?) and he will disguise it for you. Then you can put it back into the toolbox. Skaz's shop is near the inn, look for a short deadend with a wooden door around near the back of the inn.
I beat it on No Hints, completed all objectives including the All-Loot Bonus :sly: I even got that guy to faint without the
smelly hanky
or the
poison
in the wine. I just walked up to him and he fainted. I then got Dante's "smelly" line. I was surprised, but decided it was a good thing because he was about to catch me anyway. Can ANYONE tell me what the "Special" Shake does? That's the only thing I havn't been able to figure out.
EDIT: Added some spoiler tags, as seems to be the fashion ;)
It is apparently yet another way to knock out the politician. I'm not sure why there are three ways. Seems like overkill. Go to the kitchen and swap the wine for the shake. He won't be waking up in time for his meeting and Fang will have another regular!
Does anyone know if there is a difference between these three ways? Is there a "best" way to complete this objective or is it just personal preference?
Rat poison was simplest in my opinion. Just find it and dose the wine. The smelly hanky was a little confusing, but not hard and gave instant results. The shake was a little more complicated, especially since he drops in a room with several guards, but it is still quite doable. Does anyone know which is preferable?
d'oh!
thanks, nightwalker. :)
i'm gonna end up re-starting on all-hints mode! i mean, i've figured out what i'm supposed to TRY to do, but HOW to do things... i'm still working on.
or, i could just waltz through the thread, reading all the spoilers... (but where's the fun in that?)

The best way to make Pearsall sick? That's an easy one.
Poision the crackshake and replace the wine using the stinky hanky as a coaster. Works like a charm but it makes your eyes water something wicked. :cheeky:

Finally got the mission downloaded and spent last night playing it through on No Hints. The original Gathering at the Bar is one of few missions I've played more than once and it's also the first FM I ever played, so GATI felt nicely nostalgic while at the same time kept my interest up by having new places to explore and puzzles to figure out. Heh, and I actually laughed out loud in several places, listening to some conversations and new voices.
One thing though... Does anyone else think that the baby burrick looks an awful lot like the baby alien form Alien? ;)
All in all, a very enjoyable mission. Well done, team CoSaS! I have a feeling I'll play this one more than once. :)

Is it possible to ghost this mission AND get all the loot? I don't see how that could be done. Also, when you've taken LeBlanc's map, the text mensions 'something extra'. Anyone know what this 'extra' is?
