Failed to find a previous post on this so here goes:

I waded through the Corpus asylum and got the boots from the dwarf, also at the same go I went and got everything I could from there (I think I managed to locate all chests and lockpicked them through).

Now when I go to talk to Divayth Fyr he just states that he wants the blasted boots before giving me the potion. I have 2 pairs in my backpack (got the other pair from teh Daedric shrine near Sadrith Mora I think). In my frustration I've gone through every chest in the whole tower and even pickpocketed Divayth to see if he had the potion in his person (which he apparently didnt?).

I havent killed anyone (yet) in the tower nor has anyone noticed me picking the locks to the chests so I take this is some glitch (maybe the 2nd pair of boots messed the game?). Anyone know how to get the "give boots" or something option via the console? Or have I just missed something?

And make sure you are only carrying ONE set of the boots! :D
