Almalexia,
While you may have ‘cured' yourself of corprus, since you didn't do it through Divath Fyr so you didn't get the necessary journal entry that ‘tells' Caius that you have been cured. That problem could be resolved using the console to update your journal manually, but I don't know (off-hand) the appropriate journal indices. I will try to find out for you if know one else comes forward. There may still be some lingering problems, so it would be better to receive the cure properly.
I don't know why Divath Fyr won't accept the boots. How did you acquire them? (The fact that you have two pair is suspect.) It may be associated with a journal entry that didn't get registered. If you have a recent save game before you entered the corprusarium, it may be best to load it and try it again.
...or what sappe suggests (I just now noticed myoldnamesbroke's post in this thread, I expect that his is the journal entry that is wanted).

Oooh! Almalexia, it's because you have two pairs of boots. I had two pairs as well and he wouldn't take them unless I dropped one pair. Those boots are pretty cool for a starting character too...
Just drop a pair, keep one in your inventory, and he should take them.

Thanks everyone for your suggestions.
Found out that by entering console command Journal A2_3_CorprusCure 46 this will enter a message into your journal saying that Divayth Fyr has accepted the boots and he will then give you the potion for the necessary cure.
