About a week ago nostalgia struck me again, and I just had to dust off the SS2 and DX cd cases and install these great games. Damn, it's good to play DX again (for the tenth time at least) after so many years, I still find things I didn't notice before.
I wanted to be very throrough this time, so I wouldn't miss any small item, area or flavour text (if that's even possible ;) ), so after each completed mission I checked the file which stores the subtitles for conversations. That's where I came across a quite interesting conversation which I'm quite sure I haven't found in all my completions of the game yet. It's an audio conversation between Tracer Tong and Juan Lebedev, in which they
talk about whether to kill JC or to try and convince him to join the NSF
. Then, when they hear that someone is tapping the line, they cut the conversation short.
Since we don't hear about Lebedev before mission 3, and
he dies at the end of it (unless you shoot Anna)
, it can only be somewhere near or at LaGuardia. However I had no luck in finding it.
So, if anyone knows where to go and what to do to hear this convo, I'd be very grateful if you could share it with me.

I believe it wasn't put into the game, and the only way you could read it/hear it would either be by editing the game itself, or by downloading the "Removed conversations" quotes from (

To save you the time, here's the actual transcript.
The player overhears this through a speaker. Tong and Lebedev are talking to each other over an encrypted Internet audio connection. JuanLebedev: It's Paul's brother.
TracerTong: Kill him. We can't take the chance.
JuanLebedev: I can talk to him.
TracerTong: Just get out of there. We lost the shipment but you can still bring me a sample. A few milliliters is enough.
JuanLebedev:Trust me. He'll come over. UNATCO has a habit of overindoctrinating their agents. It'll backfire, just like with Paul.
TracerTong:This socket is being monitored. Signing off.

Ah, thanks, I knew how the conversation went, but I didn't know it wasn't implemented in the end. Too bad there's no easy way of telling that, it would make things easier should another one of these abound.
