Obviously the makers ("bless the makers" was that C3PO?) of Morrowind can't be expected to make everything perfect since it's such a huge game but there's a little something that may have been a bit stinky if i hadn't finished the main quest before with a different character. (My reaction by the way: "Is that it?! No, it can't have been that easy?! Surely he's not really dead?")
Here's the thing, i liked Morrowind so much that i spent my hard earned pennies on the expansions and made a brand-spanking new character. Off she went into the world and i chose to follow the Tribunal story and not the main quest. All's well untill Almalexia turns round to me and tells me i'm the Nerevarine! I know that and she knows that but my poor little character doesn't know that since she hasn't done any of the main quests! She must have been really confused. (Listen to me talking like's she's real!!!)
I suppose that's because most people will have just kept their original characters and have finished the main quest before the expansions were even a twinkle in the creators eyes?

That's about it.....as the expansions were aimed at high level characters, I think the designers had assumed most players would have found out they were (at least a potential) Nerevarine before heading off to Mournhold or Solstheim :)

Actually, you'll find that what she says is slightly different depending on if you've finished the Morrowind main quest or not. During the quests you perform for her, she keeps commenting that you have a spark she hasn't seen in quite some time, and that you remind her of someone. She works out that you are Nerevar incarnate, because that's what you are, regardless of how much of the main quest you've done. You don't become the incarnate because of the main quest, you just learn that you are because of the main quest.

I get the impression that in the original game it was deliberately left ambiguous as to whether you really are the Nerevar, or just someone lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time. The Tribunal expansion however does indeed seem to lean towards the first option.

There is still ambiguity (if you look for it! ;) ). Basically, Almalexia is a bit on the nutty side, so she may have mistaken you for Nerevar Incarnate, where in actual fact, you are just a creature with a lot of potential.
It's a stretch, but you *are* roleplaying, so you can think whatever you want! :D

That's me told.
