Greetings,
Sorry folks, this is the only Morrowind board I can seem to use consistently, and it has helped me solve any problems encountered so far. The official boards do not really seem to work for me, (perhaps because I am on a 56k, but I can never view posts), so I cannot take this there.
Hopefully someone can answer this here.
I am not asking for help learning how to use the editor to make things, ( I don't think). What I want is to be able to edit, slightly, my Telvanni Stronghold. I have acquired the final stronghold for House Telvanni, and I want to make it look...well...pretty. I want to make the books I have collected or purchased stand up rather than stacking them on the shelves. I would also like to display the nifty weapons I have found, or lean my Wizard's Staff against the wall and other things like that.
The only other thing I wish to accomplish is adding one or two immobile objects, such as a table in a certain room of the stronghold, and one or two of those really cool books stands so I can place my open books on them.
This may sound a bit strange to some of you folks, but this game is allowing me to vicariously live my Mage fantasies in a completely 3d atmosphere. I would like to be able to customize my house a bit more than they allow.
Many thanks,
Kaherdin

Grettings ! I just did the same thing at my council club ;) its farely simple .However if youve added another ems data file the one that represents your tower you will have to make that file active, if it is allready in the master ems then you are half way there.load the master ems and look for your tower cell double clik on it and it will appeaer in the render view window but it will be real small click on any part of it and press c this will get you close.once your inside it click on appropriate tabs drag and drop your item into your tower(there is much on how to do this efficiently) inluding all the books you have collected and any book cases or tables you want and there you go!

The thing that I think should be made clear here is that you can't actually edit your saved game with the editor (at least, not in any way that I've found). What you can do is edit the original layout of the stronghold so that it contains copies of all the items you own layed out in the way you want. I don't know of any other way to do it.

Yes that is a good point . I believe the plug ins act like layers layed over the original esm and your saved game .So look out for plugin placements that might conflic with your save game items placements.
MMmm so what to do with all those books you have collected but now have replaced with a plug in version??

Go here. Do the first tutorial. It's fun and you should be able to make your own plugin soon after. ;)
