Quite a while back I posted for help about locating a certain texture from Thief Gold because I was making a recreation of Constantine's Mansion in Minecraft using the textures from the game. Well I've pretty much finished everything I wanted and I don't know if anyone would even be interested, but I figured I'd post a link to screenshots of the results just for the hell of it. I didn't recreate
every room/area, but most of them and some of the details aren't perfect. The outside style/architecture of the house I created to my own liking since there aren't many images of what the outside of the mansion looks like, so I didn't include screenshots of that.
So feel free to check them out if you're interested and let me know what you think if you feel so inclined :)
EDIT: Hey fellow Taffers, for anyone who might have been interested in seeing the outside of this build I added screenshots to the album in the link below. As I mentioned above, the outside was created to my own liking, so there are a couple of things that aren't actually part of the mansion in the game, most notably the bridge/walkway at the back of the house which is just for a simpler connection between the two areas because I just didn't have the patience to try recreating all the garden tunnels. Please ignore any texture glitches/shadows that are showing. And thanks for all the positive comments :D

That's some seriously impressive work, taffer! :thumb:
The Sword is easily my favourite mission in the game, perhaps in all the Thief games, so I always like when someone does something with it or makes something like it. I particularly like your rendition of the spiral room. I can't help but wonder what the Little Big World would look like in there, though. I imagine it would be a nightmare to build.

Come on, no YouTube video?
And WTF at all those angled floors/walls/ceilings.

i am split on how i feel about people using thief textures in other games
the torches look terrible
but everything else is wow, very impressed, would be cool it you used red stone to make objectives ,it would be possible to recreate entire game fully with objectives

I don't have much experience with making videos but I'd be willing to give it a shot and then link it here if you'd really like to see one; don't have a microphone though, so I wouldn't be able to do any commentary or anything.
All the angled stuff was done with mods - a lot of different mods just in general so I could have more versatility in building and the amount of textures I needed to use.

The spiral room was achieved using a mod called Factorization and is one of my favorite areas as far as how it turned out.
I have actually been tempted to try creating the Big World where everything is giant but don't know if I quite feel like tackling that lol, it would definitely be pretty difficult.

Yeah, I don't care for the look of the torches either, but they're from a texture pack someone made that was inspired by the Thief games, which is what I used as a base for the main Minecraft textures, and then added in extra textures as needed via another mod. Using redstone to recreate some of the booby traps is something I wanted to do but I'm absolutely terrible with redstone...though I still might try.

It looks so little like Minecraft that I wonder what the point even was of doing this in Minecraft.
It's like saying you're going to reproduce something in LEGO but then using the entire toy chest and also some paint and balsa wood and the 3D printer.

This looks really great, NiteShade! Can you post some screenshots of the outside of the mansion too? We know what a tiny bit of it looks like, and I'm interested to see how you elaborated from there (and also how it all fits inside! :D)
