How do you put a constant effect when enchanting stuff...I have tried every soul gem on every piece of equipment i have...how is it that you are supposed to put these on items?

Use the search command and read the "Enchant" thread. I consolidated the information given to me by Winged, Forsythe, Red, ect.

Uh, what is it with most of you guys always assuming people dont use or dont know how to use the search feature in bbs's? I always use search before I post something, but in this case i got a bunch of crap about best enchantments for what blah blah and people talking about their constant effect armor but never mentioning how they made it specifically.
Anyway, I asked on another board and they helped me so thanks anyway.

to get a constant affect you must catch a golden saint or some other creature (sry the name escapes me at the moment) and soul trap them in a grand charm i have yet to do it myself but it has been on other threads and other sites too...

doubleo - since i am a newer member of this board i'll answer that one...
i've seen the enchant/constant effect question been asked many many times...
and i been here.. what a month at most?
and i'm starting to think.. 'don't they search?' as soon as i see those words...
i can see it from both sides of the fence... anyway...
