Your level does determine stuff you find/can buy doesn't it?
There are loads of enchanted items on sale now that never were in the past.

I don't think so, your level might determine what kinds of monsters or critters you see, but it dosen't change what the merchants are selling. Maybe you just didn't notice them, I know I sometimes only skimmed through a merchants inventory or saw something a merchant had and then forgot about it later when I was looking for that same thing.

It's also possible that, in the early days, you set your view to 'Misc' (or whatever) and didn't realise it, thus filtering all merchants' inventories...

In that case I'll be hunting down some Grand Soul Gems ASAP. I thought that better stuff would come available as I got better. Perhaps it was my lack of cash that made me ignore them.
If I go into a dungeon, am attacked, and wipe the denizens out will it break any quests? I cleared a couple of dungeons out that are south-east of Vivec. (Lovely contryside BTW, but the grasslands still rule for beauty and relaxing hill walking.)

It's possible but it shouldn't screw up the main quest, lots of those dungeons are out there just to be explored and looted. Have multiple saves and make some backups of your save files occasionally though to be on the safe side.

*nod* Yeah, do a real save before you go into a cave/dungeon/whatever, and just use quicksave while in there; if you see anything really unusual, feel free to explore but then consider reloading if it looks like a quest. They're usually pretty good about either not pre-populating important critters, or giving credit for pre-emptive quest solving, but better safe than sorry.

That is one way of gettin ya summoned creature to follow ya round but what about this way:
Have ya heard about the soultrap glitch?
well if ya haven't then this is how ya do it
put any spell first on self for 1 sec
so for example:
summon golden saint on self
soultrap on target for 2 secs
ALWAYS make it like this, once made look at the floor, ceilin or wall so ya don't anyone and ya golden saint will follow ya round, cast it again and ya will have 2 followin etc.
This applys to fortify attributes as well so ya can boost ya attribs over 1000 permenatly
