Enchented items so i finaly have a "constant effect shield 20pts".
First of all, when i do that via a spell, i see the shield surounding me, with const. effect not. So i wonder if it really works.
Second. Is the shield permanent, or do i have to take off / retake, if i have been hit to give me the 20pts "bonus".
How does that shield work in any way ? (if someone attacks with 30pts, i should only get 30-20=10pts damage?!?!)

The Shield effect will increase your Armor Rating by it's magnitude for the duration of the effect. To see if an item works check your active spell effects after you equip it.

Oh i see. Thought it was like the shield-spell in Daggerfall, where a barrier is created that sucks the specified amount of damage.
Yes the symbol is there of course, just the visible cone around the caster not. But perhaps thats with all the constant things, cause levitate doesnt have that rings under the feet either.
