http://i15.tinypic.com/4q50h7q.pngHello TTLG, long time no see. I've been busy. I made an album. Some of you may be familiar with stuff I've done before. This album is mine and it's all mine. And now it's yours :)
Music wise, it started off as an electronic album, but as I've added more and more guitars and vocals and so forth to the songs over the months I've no idea what you'd call it any more. As you might guess from the artist name it's got a slight nuclear paranoia flavour to it but it's not a novelty album or whatever.
Reference points to consider probably include Boards of Canada, My Bloody Valentine, later Radiohead, some bits of Aphex Twin, Grandaddy, Muse, Squarepusher, Pink Floyd, Efterklang, etc etc etc, but it also sounds nothing like these acts.
The website, from which you can download everything, is (
http://www.munchhouse.com/conelrad/functioncreep.html) here. There are individual MP3s, and a winamp/whatever playlist, plus a zip file with the whole lot in it for those too lazy to click 12 links.
If you want a "single", well, I recommend (
http://munchhouse.com/conelrad/mp3/09-conelrad-targetcity.mp3) Target City. This is not only my favourite song on the album but probably gives the strongest overview of the overall sound!!
I did this pretty much for myself (ha ha ha the defence of a hack!!) so it's not like I'm trying to get NOTICED or SIGNED or any of that stupid bullshit but people seem to like what I've been doing, and more and more I've been encouraged very strongly to package it up in a way that other people will be inclined to listen. I know that "releasing" things yourself on the internet and thinking it's cool and important is all very silly and it's stupid to pretend that I am going to HIT FAME AND FORTUNE, but I am just going to post it up in a few places where people might download it.
So here it is, so if you like that sort of thing, then enjoy it i guess, but you don't have to, that's okay too!!
Thankyou to my CREW who know who they are, who have put up with some test versions over the time this has taken, and to Jani for the beautiful Finnish landscape pictures i used for the covers, and thank you too :) :)

Not bad at all OB. I'm listening to the song you recommend, Target City.
Good music to lie back and chill out to.:thumb:
By the way, I like the reference to the movie Hunt for Red October in the title of song 11.
Nice Work!

How freaky is this?
After taking a quick look at the songs titles, I mosied on over to wiki and was reading about the Cuban missile crisis and Tsar Bomba is mentioned.

I'm partway through it now, and I have to say, your production skills have really improved. They were good before, now it's extra-pro sounding.
"Function Creep" is a fantastic song.

Sup bob, been wondering where you were off to. Downloadin now.
Edit: Half a listen through and wow. Im generally not a huge fan of this style of music (in that I dont find myself in the mood for it or listning to it that often, not that I dont like it), but this is really well done. I probably havent listened to enough of the style to really compare it but the mood (associated with the name) really comes through well. For a self-made album I really wouldnt be able to tell it wasnt a major release or a professionally done album if someone just played some for me (not that Im a trained ear or anything).
Highly enjoyable, good work.

Good work bob...
Having a listen now at work. Oddly, French Eyes Frenchise was reminding me of BOC's last album and Tim Follin's Ghouls and Ghosts soundtrack for the Amiga at the same time.

Sweet.
I distinctly remember being very impressed by your EP, so this one's being downloaded right now. Hope to be able to give it a listen this evening when I get back from work - then again, it's England v Germany, so it might just have to wait a little while longer. ;)
By the by, anywhere to download your EP tracks again? Harddrive crash whiped em all off, unfortunately.
