Hello,

Recently managed to boot up Thief on my MacBookPro! Great success!

While I'm extremely happy to have the game running after three years of failed attempts, I'd really like to get New Dark and Fan missions running.

Has anyone had any success with this?

I'd greatly appreciate any advice,

I think it's safe to say, YES. ;)

For getting New Dark up and running, all you need is (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131106) Tafferpatcher. I'm assuming you're referring to Thief 2. For Thief 1, use (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733) Tfix. These programs will make it very easy for you.

For playing fan missions, use the mission loader that comes with New Dark called (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=140093) FMSel.

Hi Brethren,

Thanks for the vote of confidence, it's great to know I can still play my favorite game!

I'm struggling to install Taffa Patch. I'm struggling to locate where Crossover has placed the instillation files for Thief 2.

I'll keep plugging away, but anyone with any experience would be awesome to share!

Sorry, was reading too fast, I didn't realize these issues involved installing Thief on a Mac. I'm not going to be much help there. Hopefully there are some other Apple users around.

Honestly thought it was too good to be so simple!!

There are several threads in the Technical and Troubleshooting forum but as I'm not very technical, I can't tell what might be useful. I'm going to move your thread up there and hopefully you'll get some relevant info if you can't find what you're looking for.

I just tried Thief 2 newdark using (http://www.playonmac.com/en/) Playonmac, and after some messing around it works, including fms and apparently dromed! I managed to do this by creating a virtual drive in Playonmac and copying into it my Thief 2 newdark-ready folder from my windows/bootcamp partition. I'm on Imac, running 10.8.5.
