There's no penalty for clicking on the wrong brackets, so it basically takes no time or mental effort whatsoever. Just randomly click on brackets until you've eliminated most of the words. Or just wave your mouse over them, since anytime the cursor is over a clickable set of brackets it highlights them and all the characters inbetween them. It also helps that the brackets always have to be on the same line of text.

That is not my experience. Clicking on a singleton bracket costs me a guess.

Yeah you're right. Still, you can just go line by line and wave your mouse over them until something highlights, which is my general strategy.
