I've been to TTLG some times in the past under different usernames, each time I leave being due to my attentions transferred to yet another web community.
I suspect that others have communities that they are a part of, like a central node in a spider web. Post some of the communities you have been (or are) involved with (online), and something about them. It doesn't have to be a forum, just a community of some kind.
(
http://www.terra-arcanum.com/phpBB/) The House of Lords - A forum dedicated to fans of the game company Troika, in particular for their game "Arcanum: Of Steamworks And Magick Obscura." It's populated, by and large, by a tightly-knit community of rude, pretentious, but well-learned bigots. I spent years as a part of that community, trying and trying to fit in, to earn the respect of the regulars. I never did, but I finally, as recently as three or four years ago, lost interest (after nearly six years of trying). I never contributed much, except pretending to be a witty asshole so I could fit in. At the time, I went under the username Xento.
(
http://www.nhbradio.com) No Holds Barred Radio - An online adult comedy radio station. I used to love it, and would regularly listen to all their live shows, frequently writing in comments to be read live, and I set up a fansite wherein I would offer copies of the live shows for free download, as, at the time, NHB (No Holds Barred) Radio's podcast services were unreliable at best. I actually made some friends in that community, as, in spite of the brutality of the comedy, the people were generally friendly when they took off their personas. Just this past year, I donated two hundred dollars to their annual telethon because I still appreciate all that I got from the community, even though I'm a lurker, at best. At the time, I went under the username Cerebral Stasis.
(
http://arelith.com/phpBB3) Arelith - A community built around a certain fan-made module by the same name for the Bioware game, Neverwinter Nights (the first). It is a community of excellent roleplayers (of the writing, PG-13-variety, not the dress-up-and-cyber type, as dethtoll has in the past suggested), and I have had a great deal of fun on the module, practicing writing by portraying characters and reacting to others' portrayals of their own respective characters. With that said, I've never gotten along well with the community there, as there are a number of regulars who have an elitist air about them, knowing a great deal about one another due to years of chatting whilst playing, and so much of the module revolves around these elitist players (either due to their experience, cleverness, or popularity, or a combination). This has frustrated me in the past, and is largely why I continue to vanish from the community. I've never wanted to have to play the numbers to succeed, though it's a lesson I should hasted to learn. I have gone by a number of usernames in the community, including Cerebral Stasis, Cybearg, and, most recently, HungryHungryHippogriff (there are so many as I try to avoid people whom I've had bad run-ins with in the past, probably largely due to my own ignorance, stubbornness, and unfriendliness). When I've grown tired of TTLG (that is, when I need a break from Thief mission-making, if not from the community as a whole), I will likely retire back to Arelith to waste my days chatting via an avatar.
(
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/) Giant In The Playground - Forums dedicated to the Order of the Stick webcomic series (my favorite series ever). I never was very involved with the community, as, when I joined, I was involved in the House of Lords and brought over the bigotry and crude humor I had learned in there, which didn't go over well, to say the least. I went, at the time, by an extremely stupid username, "Chaotic Wun."
(
http://www.noxforum.net/) Nox - One of the first online games I ever played. Nox was an awesome roleplaying game (more of an isometric action game, really) by Westwood. I played it for years and years and was active not only in the constant battling to see who could kick the most butt, but who could offer the most interesting hacks, map mods, etc. I never got very far in modding, since I was extremely young at the time, but I played it a lot and recognized a lot of names from it, so I consider it a significant community.
(
http://www.phpbb.com/) phpBB Forums - Some years ago, I had a huge fetish for forums. I made forums for any and every reason. This was back when 2.18 was the latest phpBB version. I was moderately active in the template-editing community, as well as assisting some in the technical support forum. I chatted a fair bit and was somewhat active in the community there, though not for a very long time.
(
http://goblins.keenspot.com/) Goblins - Much like Giant In The Playground, Goblins is a community built around a webcomic I love. Also much like GiantITP, I wasn't enormously active, but I was for a month or two and made a bad name for myself due to trying to act superior, clever, etc. In this case, though, it wasn't based around a forum, and instead around a chat room that accompanied a live feed of the artist drawing the comic. I hope that I've matured beyond needing to seem mature.
Go ahead and post your own.

TTLG is the only true forum I hang out at. I post at moddb sometimes and I moderate a metal community on the ol' LJ but those don't really count.

Good god.
Good god
Seriously. Livejournal? What the fuck, man? What the fuck.
Jeezus.
Jeezus
I mean Livejournal? Comeon, man. What were you thinking? Were you thinking?
I don't know you anymore. Hell, I don't even know if I ever did know you. This changes everything I thought I knew, that's for damn sure.
Livejournal?
Livejournal?
...fuck, man. Just fuck. Holy shit. Fuck. Wow.
Also, I don't post on any other real forums besides here. I lurk at a few other sites occasionally, but that's about it. Kinda like Dethtoll, I guess, though I'm loath to admit I have anything in common with him nowadays.

Few people are taught to read critically to pick up things like satire, and the written word is, naturally, a written medium, thus lacking the necessary hinting inflections for one to pick up any underlying meaning. Maybe it's not others' ability to recognize satire that's at fault, but your ability to effectively write it.

Nah, Eva might be good at writing the witty satire, but he fails at the very thing he's lambasting us for. Anyone who takes anything I write around here halfway seriously could use a few credit hours in the identifying-sarcasm-on-internets courses.
Or maybe it's me. :o

Here's one I forgot:
(
http://www.theovernightscape.com/) The Overnightscape - A podcast community based on the seemingly endless words of one Frank Edward Nora. I used to listen to The Overnightscape all the time, and still do on occasion. I've written in some emails that were read, once made a review that was read, and otherwise participated somewhat in the community, including some chats with Mr. Nora himself. Good times, good guy, good fun. I believe I went under the alias Cerebral Stasis at the time.
Incidentally, if you'd like to dredge up a lot of embarrassing idiocy on my part, do a search for "Cerebral Stasis" in Google.
