Command Humanoid questions... - by Motorheadbanger

Howdy all. I've got a question about Commanding humanoids...
I've taken control of Hlaalo manor in Balmora (easy enough, the owner was already dead), and now I'm trying to have myself a bit of an Orcish "house party". I've gotten three fellas in the place, but one thing I've noticed is that from time to time if you rest during transit, the people disappear. Even more strangely, I tried it on a fella in Ghorak Manor, and for some reason, he sunk into the floor....all I saw was this little heard bobbing up and down between the floor boards. Later, he was gone completely.
I was wondering if tanybody knows of some way to cast command human and make it stick.
I managed it once by using an enchanted item (Daedric Tower Shield) I made, the duration was only 30 seconds, but the guy followed me from Caldera to Balmora non-stop. Don't know if it was a glitch that can be repeated or not.
Just curious.

Hmmm... not at all sure this will work, but try making a spell that combines soultrap on target (no radius) and command humanoid touch, but with a small radius.
Try casting it while standing really close to your victim, but not facing them (so the soultrap misses)

Bored? Yeah, I've beat the game with an Orcish Warrior, Argonian Mage, and Female Dark Elf Assassin, done each of the 3 great house quests, and the majorityu of the guilds.....so I was just dinking around with this whole "house party" thing with my original character since there's not anything really major left to do.
I found an easy solution to my problem though....
I enchanted a Deadric tower shield with command Humanoid (lvl 20 to 30) for 10 seconds.
What I do is find who I want to have come with me, then I smack them upside the head with my fist, and RUN! When I get to a door I need them to come through, I'll cast the command spell, and voila, they're in.
Still trying to figure out how to get them to follow me constantly though.....I manged to get one to follow me on a stilt rider believe it or not.
I'll have to try the thing with soul trap that you mentioned though. Thanks!
I'm about done with bringing Orcs in though...the place is getting crowded with the 6 of us now, and for some reason they like to all stand in the same place....maybe Orcs are as stupid as everyone keeps telling me. :D

Command humanoid is a fun spell, I had every commoner in balmora attack a guard once. what a blood bath

hmmm...maybe i have overlooked the entertainment value of this spell. I didnt quite understand the whole house party thing until i beat Dagoth Ur. Im pretty much bored with the game now, and im trying to have the longest jump combining an acrobatics skill of 100 along with all my weapons and armor and clothing enchanted with fortify jump, along with a scroll of icarian flight. its pretty fun. i noticed if you drop everything except for your enchanted stuff than you will weigh less and fly much much further.

For your long jump thing :
I think that the length of the jump is linked to youyr strength, since I've noticed a great improvement in my jump when I use some of the potion I made which "sligthly" improve Strength ... to 10000 at least ( in fact I have enougth potion to go to 30000 )
Of course, I didn't cheat for this :
See this (

BTW, it is also quite funny to reach 1000+ magnitude in levitate during an hour so that you can easily go through the whole island in no time ( to sum up, if you're bored, try alchemy ;) )
