This thread is quite flammable now.

PBF isn't in the newspaper, and is only funny maybe like 10% of the time.
Those 10% are arguable, but the Guardian or the Observer has PBF.

Dunno, I've found it the most consistently funny comic around with both great artistic work and great puns/ideas. Only twice or so have I not became amused by it.
But yeah, it's not a newspaper comic.

The last good comics were Bloom County and C&H. And no it's not because I'm old, it's because the new comics fucking suck.
Don't get me started on this shit where Hagar the Horrible, Hi & Lois, and Beetle Baily continue a strong run despite the original writers and illustrators being dead for hundreds of years.
Oh yeah, and Jonny Hart can fuck off too.

Pearls Before Swine.
Best comic, ever!
Dont know bout the "best ever" but I love it, you are not alone.

I very much get solace from my old Calvin and Hobbes treasuries. My Far Side ones, too. As for anything current, I've been looking to Joe Mathlete for guidance: (

That crazy Marmaduke- I never could have guessed the real story.
Joe does his thing with Ziggy too: (

I can't believe the cloned meat plot bothers you more than WHATEVER THE FUCK THAT BLACK AND WHITE THING IS SUPPOSED TO BE
Even in comics I expect a minimum artistic standard and that thing just pees all over it

But, AR Master, if the newspapers didn't print any terrible comics, what would we have to talk about?
