Actually
(http://www.visualastronomy.com/2009/01/comet-lulin.html) Comet Lulin - but I wanted to get that little hook into that ear worm...
At closest approach it will move at about 5 degrees a day, fast enough to detect its against the back ground stars, just with binocs. Plenty of other odd features too - a Must See.

Interesting, but not much chance of me spotting it with all the light pollution around here, especially if my local rugby club have borrowed their (

Which kind of leaves me wanting to know only what I want to know about every other object in space:
* Is it larger than a house
* Is it going to hit us

Very cool, on of my co-workers saw it last night here in Wisconsin (Milwaukee). We're a decent sized city (with our own fair share of pollution) and she said it was very visible to the naked eye.
