Note: This is not a thread about smoke machines and 80s music videos, this is me asking you guys about printers.
7-year-old inkjets gathering dust in parents' houses aside, I don't own a printer, and whilst I could just get myself a mono laser or something, I know there'll be times when I want to print colour. However, I'm having a hideous time trying to work out what actually constitutes a good cheap (<£300) colour laser. A couple of the top hits on Google appear to be determined to slate each other's favourites, and I'm thoroughly confused. I'm hoping that you guys might prove to be the voice of reason I've been looking for.
I'm more interested in quality than speed (although I'd rather not have one of those printers that sits there for a couple of minutes thinking when you ask it to print in colour). Any suggestions?

Can't help you much with the basic inquery. But give very heavy consideration to the cost of the "Toner" cartridges, and other options beyond the printer itself.

Yeah, I know that toner can be the sting in the tail. Happily I have found sites that calculate a cost per page. Thanks, though.
