I've had some difficulty with a few of the levels, most recently the Black Gate Laboratory. Instead of the color everything should be its all this smoky yellow/biege. I've played around with the shadows, color quality, resolution, etc. but it doesnt change anything. Do I need to download a patch, or is there something else I can do to fix it?

First, did you download and install the official 1.1 patch?

What type of video card? Drivers?
Have you installed any of the unofficial texture packs?
Also, a screenshot would be useful to give us an idea of what it looks like?
