I installed the indeo codecs and try to start the game. immediately after seeing the loading screen of garrett looking over the city it goes to a black screen and then right back to the desktop without an error message!!
Anybody have a clue how to get past this?

Maybe if you told us what your setup is (CPU, Operating system, Video card Etc.) someone can help you.
Otherwise you are on your own.

The Indeo codecs are for Thief 1 and Thief 2. However, the only picture I remember where Garrett looks over a city is in Thief 3. If that is the game that returns you to the desktop, the Indeo codecs may not have anything to do with this problem.

Why do people not read the FAQs... its the same questions over and over... maybe we have to make them more obvious some how...
