ercles is right, the game as a whole was awful. You could have come in at the Giants' final drive, and taken everything you needed away from the game. There was really no reason to watch anything that happened before it.

That just happens almost every weekend in a regular football (soccer) league match over here, so I can't understand what's so extraordinary about that. Actually, if you remove the 'nearly' from your sentence, it describes the whole thing more accurately.

True story - until I got married (my wife's family are basketball nuts) I thought 'The Final Four' was one of those scratch and win games at Taco Bell.
We live 20 minutes from UofA where the Razorbacks are based (college football), so I'm constantly pressed with inane conversation about what coach Nutter did (or whatever the fuck his name is) and whether or not some guy named Jones played a good game this weekend.
I just usually look at people and ask, "Are we talking about hockey here?" Honestly. I care more about my belly button lent than which guy got the ball through the hoop/across the line/in the hole.
Still, it's cool when the underdog wins, so GO GIANTS! (Whoever the fuck you are)

That's only because it's hard to make a play when you have been KNOCKED ON YOUR ASS. It was a defensive game with both teams respecting the power of the others defense with good cause. The Giants secondary was balanced out by thier rush. In the end it came down to scrambling and who wanted it most. Eli came by scrambling honest.
