Is it just me or ... You know 2008 or 2018 still feel modern, but I can't help but look at a year like '23 from the perspective of kids in 2088 looking back and thinking what poor saps we must have been, the way we're freaking out about AI art and lunch condiments as if the entire planet isn't about to transform into something so unrecognizable we don't even know what we're supposed to be afraid of yet... I feel like that kind of poor sap recently.
That said, I'm never going to grow tired of dipping thick bread into good gravy. Y'all were talking about how home cooking is always better. I feel like American food is on the extremes of that spectrum, the most toxic processed food and the best home cooking -- I mean for an American palate at least. Not trying to dog any other country's home cooking, but if there's any nice thing I get out of spending time in the US after a long while away it's being able to eat my native grub home cooked. There's a Mennonite-run restaurant not far that does it really well. I'm sure that's the same for every country.

C'mon dema, it's not like AIs are ever gonna know what a good sandwich tastes like. Well, never say never and all that, but we've got a ways to go before LLMs are plugged into an actual general construct. Until then, it's fine if they can just provide us a good recipe, preferably without being written as an alien or with fictional ingredients.
I figure you might as well embrace that the entire foundations of what we thought were a given thing are going to undergo an upheaval, things are going to break, things are going to form, not all of them good, not all of them bad. Life gets easier, living gets more difficult. Big whoop.

The taste of a good sandwich can vary depending on the type of sandwich and personal preference. However, generally speaking, a good sandwich should have a harmonious combination of flavors, textures, and aromas that work well together.
For example, a classic BLT sandwich should have crispy bacon, juicy tomatoes, fresh lettuce, and a flavorful mayo or aioli. The bread should be toasted or grilled to add a slightly crunchy texture, and the overall taste should be balanced and satisfying.
A good sandwich can also have other ingredients such as cheese, pickles, onions, sauces, or different types of meats, depending on the type of sandwich. The key is to have a well-proportioned mix of flavors and textures that complement each other.
Ultimately, what makes a sandwich taste good is subjective and can vary from person to person. But a well-crafted sandwich should be delicious, satisfying, and leave you feeling satisfied.

If you get down to it, eggs pop out of hen vaginas. But then if you really get down to it, so did every animal in one way or another.
On the issue of mayo, I'm so sorry that some of us didn't grow up millionaires with our own haute cuisine home chefs that forbade mayonnaise and other signifiers of low class trash who ate their baloney and mayo sandwiches with slices of processed cheese squares and apple slices quietly in the back corner of the lunchroom on the weirdos' table without complaint, with their bowl cut hair styles and hand-me-down ragged striped shirts and jeans, while the popular girls with their new red cameros, Guess jeans, and sophisticated gourmet paninis walked by and audibly scoffed. :nono: :D
It's okay. We forgive you.

Speaking of which, if a human did write this (which I doubt), then he definitely got beat up in school on a regular basis. XD
