Looking at youtube clips reveals nothing remotely obvious at all, but people will look for anything I guess.

I'm working on my own version of a Cloverfield type movie and it kicks its ass.
I was just about to poke fun at you for doing that but then realized - holy shit I am doing the same thing! Not a monster movie at all, but somewhat similar in technique.
Btw, let me know when you're done with yours, I'd be curious to see it!

I should clarify, I'm not making one - I'm planning on writing one. I've got a vague outline of the story, but more creatively inspiring for me was the actual REAL LIFE SCIENCE that I formulated to make the entire concept of uncovering some massive sea creature believable and here's another novel concept, I'm keeping it out AT FUCKING SEA.

It's a small detail that would never survive youtube compression

Hm, now that it's brought up, I'm curious myself as to how this translates to small screen viewing.

Sometimes when I'm sitting on a boat in the middle of a lake I imagine what it would feel like if a monster the size of a skyscraper emerged from the water. If I try hard enough I can kind of scare myself. If your movie could evoke that feeling, I'd see it.

Well, to give you a taste, imagine if the sea creature created massive fucking waves with its intent to surface.
It's like the water shimmering in the glass in Jurassic Park on a scale of a billion.
