Whale
monster, eh? Could be interesting, but for some reason it also feels kinda 'meh' to me.
I'm no longer really excited to see this film, mostly because everything I'm hearing is that it's just a straight up godzilla-style film with a handycam gimmick. I do hope I find myself enjoyably surprised come the 18th though, as I was with I Am Legend.

I've since seen that apparently is not the design of the monster but an entry into a "guess the monster's look" comp? The monster louse sort of resembles the creepy giant isopod.
Reminds me of Sin from FFX.
But if the movie's grand finale is just 'this is what the monster looks like' I will be pissed.

To be honest, this movie sort of peaked my attention. I may actually go see it.

This movie got my attention after reading about the trailer in SciFi Now. I saw the trailer at the cinema yesterday. The only thing I'm worried about is if the trailer is going to be better than the movie itself. All-hyped-up-and-no-place-to-go kinda thing.

That, and the shaky-cam. People ripped the Bourne movies for that, but this movie seems like it'll be two hours of non-stop shaky-cam. I could handle it for 10 minutes in a Bourne fight, dunno if I could take it for two hours.
A mutated whale? An American version of The Host?
Anyone seen this yet?
There are the usual hyperbole-filled reviews on AICN that I can't be arsed deciphering amidst the verbal wankery and name-dropping.

Slow down, Harold. It doesn't open for a couple more days.
