Hey guys.
So I don't really post much here, but I'm usually lurking about most days. Most of my contributions have been in TEG, but this type of thing doesn't really belong there, so I guess I'll put it here.
A few years ago I formed a band with some friends. Actually I joined them, but what we later produced was music we'd all written together.
We worked off and on for a couple years writing and recording and gigged fairly regularly in the area. (We even played a funeral once. That was probably the weirdest thing I'd ever experienced!)
Just as we were about to release our EP and see where we could possibly go, things fell apart in my personal life. Got laid off after 7 years, was unemployed for a while and am now divorced (again- from the same woman. Long story...), and I actually ended up quitting the band.
Anyway, even though our EP was pretty much done, we never released it officially. Last year I just kind of threw it out there on Soundcloud to go back and listen to when I was missing things.
If you guys want to listen to it, feel free to do so. You can do so here:

We recorded and mixed it all ourselves, so quality varies. I think it turned out alright though.
It was a dark time in my life and you can really tell in the music, I think.
Anyway, the days of that band are long over and I've actually recently started another since I'm now with someone who likes and support my desire to make music. New band is probably more prog/psychedelic. If you guys are interested, I'll share our stuff with you once we get more recorded.
Cheers,
Rob

I've listened to this multiple times over the years and still enjoy it. And since R_T forgot to specify it, he's the singer and also plays rhythm guitar.

The beginning of the intro reminded me of Man of the World so great start. I'm not sure if I've heard your singing voice before, Rob, but it reminds me of someone (wish I could remember) and took me straight back to my happy hippy days. Thank you for that. :)

His singing is heavily influenced by Robert Plant, so perhaps that's who you're thinking of. His other influence is Chris Cornell, who's not quite from the happy hippy time period.
