The emergency landing from the first link was heart-stopping. I wonder what they'd done if there'd been a car.

If there'd been a car? Shoulder check, signal your intention to occupy the lane, shoulder check again, move quickly into your new position...
That was a damned scary but cool landing. They even got to clear the road way. I loved the "watch your wing" as they pulled into the parking lot. That could have been a doh moment.
I admit to a morbid fascination with videos of vehicle, boat and aircraft incidents - near misses and not near misses.

Anyway, Thief13x, that shit happened on SR 23 a couple years ago between Delaware and Columbus, but it was a smaller plane.

My favorite thing about that video is that after they almost died in an emergency landing CoPilot is all like OH GOD DONT HIT THE WING ON THE LIGHTPOST. That is one calm and collected motherfucker.

Him pulling the plane into a car park at the end was just cockiness of the highest order.
That's one fucking hell of an instinctive pilot.
I say instinctive because he's like FUCK THE WING at the end, he's visibly shaken and drained by it but during the landing he was the coolest customer.

The only thing I can think of, is maybe since the wings hold a helluva lot of fuel...maybe he was worried about them sparking a massive explosion. I mean, how many times can you cheat death in one day...let alone 5 minutes. :D
