How do i get the artifact from an anomaly field btw? Walking straight into it isnt such a good idea i guess :P
Also, i'm doing a quest for some guy, he tells me he threw his detector into a anomaly and i need to get it for him, can i destroy the anomaly and it will appear or what?
I also need to talk to some dude, but the Stalkers won't let me pass, should i just kill them off or can i befriend them and pass?

Well, anomaly field is not anomalies all stacked together, you can move between them. Sometimes you need to try from a different angle, etc. but I'm pretty sure all but Fruit Punch and Burner anomaly fields are "doable" without taking any damage from anomalies themselves.
The detector is lying near an anomaly, you just go and pick it up.

Been trying for 20+ minutes now, can't see anything near it, even read a walktrough, says its in a bush, looked at every bush too.. but its 3 in the night + the radiation blurs the vision and make everything black/white (and i only have like 8-10 seconds before radiation kills me).. I give up :cheeky: this game is as hard on "novice" as most games are on "very hard".. but hopefully its just because i only have the second armor in the game and no artifacts hehe
but what about the stalkers is it bad to become enemies with them?

Pretty much as Koki described. Sometimes it's easy, sometimes quite hard. Try different angles and paths, sprint often helps too.

I don't remember this particular quest, it's probably just nearby as Koki wrote. And no, you can't destroy anomaly fields.

I guess you mean Sidorovich? You can befriend with them, talk with Loners leader in the farm nearby.

Having just left the swamp and strolling about Cordon for about an hour, I must say I'm very pleasantly surprised. SotC was my game but after all the criticism my expectations were low and I was prepared for the worst. Ok I haven't met any überskilled grenade hurlers and I hope there's more beyond faction wars. But even that rookie swamp sucked me in with atmosphere, score and sights.
