Seems the North American release of the game has been delayed again:

Makes me wonder if they're trying to integrate the patch for the NA release, straight off the bat. To avoid the same kind of negative reaction (i.e. broken on release), as last time.

Surely we've all learned from past experiences and none of us will actually be adopting the game right off, right? I loved SoC don't get me wrong, but god damn it was buggy and fucked up. I might even wait for O:L anyways

It was definitely playable never the less, and I doubt Clear Sky will be as buggy on release as SoC was, so it can only be more stable. (imo at least)

Yes, but it didn't eliminate the crashes, despite readme says it "improves stability", it's supposed to fix many other things though. The patch scheduled for September,5 is the next one.

Believe me, CS is more buggy on release than SoC, the main problem is huge amount of crashes. There is no one who hasn't experienced at least a few, judging by the forums :erg: My short experience fully confirmed that, as I got a crash after like 30 minutes of playing, whereas SoC patched to 1.0004 is absolutely stable on the same rig.

I finished stalker on 1.0000 with fewer crashes on my p1.8 than my replay on 1.0006 on a duo core.
It's a jungle out there.

I don't know how much time I gave to SoC (patched to 1.0004), but probably more than 200hrs, and I've had only one crash on my previous rig and none on my current one...
