That might be because GCS never released the single player SDK for S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC. Here's hoping that they actually fulfill their promise of releasing it and the 1.1 patch after Clear Sky.

You can do all that by editing the text files though

It seems CS is quite hard, considerably harder than SoC judging by what I read, money is much harded to get than in SoC, the only two ways to get them in more or less substantial amount are doing quests and searching for artifacts. Many people can't make enough money to buy decent suit or enough medkits and antirads, and some have even to settle for wearing just sweater for half of the game.
Many bugs are reported.

What about those cool DX10 effects we saw in trailers? Are they all limited to DX10 hardware & Vista or can some of them be used with DX9 (just like in the leaked demo)?

Yes, god rays for example.

I liked the sections of stalker with a lot of wild beasts, they made a nice break from the monotony of fighting humans all the time.
And what's their excuse for not finishing those unfinished monsters? Or are they in?

If it's so bad then I can't understand why the previews and early reviews also linked here seemed to be so satisfied? And who managed to get past half of the game wearing just sweather? :nono:

Why do you consider this bad? :

It may sound bad for new players or for those who are used to easy games, but not for us who already finished SoC at least few times. It's a standalone add-on after all, and add-ons usually are harder than originals.

I don't know, maybe it's graphics, or that it's more straightforward and there is more action happening around. Anyway, currently it seems that most fans are disappointed. (
http://www.gsc-game.ru/index.php?t=community&s=forums&s_game_type=xr&thm_page=1&thm_id=12729&page=21&sec_id=16) Here you can see results of polling about CS. The results were worse yesterday and the day before yesterday, there were many 1s. I suspect a foul play.

One person was wearing sweater until the very end :)

You say "Many bugs are reported". BUGS=BAD. But a "BUG" can also serve as an excuse for player's incompetence and weak skill.
Most of these rumors sound to me like typical initial quenching after release. I better see all that on my own eyes.
That guy in sweather was probably either tough guy who wanted a challenge or a noob who carelessly spent money on stupidities.

I was thinking the same thing. There are too many noobs out there who because they have no idea how to play properly (or apply a bit of sense in their playing style) end up saying "zomg this game is crap and has a lot of bugs... like the leaves from the threes they look like this and move like that lolwtf".
idiotic selfish spiteful morons :nono: :nono: :nono:
