Ooh, someone has been on the Gamefaqs messageboard learning how to argue an argument!
Don't fret, Jimmy. One day those hatorz will finally learn the PS3 is better than the stupid ole outdated M$ Xbox360. They just talk like that because they're afraid of change and want to protect their investment. I've been playing videogames since the NES days, so I know what I'm talking about here.
olol Noob (or stupid persons)
Or...

Windows Millennium.
And on that note, lets not let this perfectly good thread derail into yet another Vista Vs. XP beat a dead horse with a stick debate. I'd rather talk about Clear Sky than defend the reasons why I'm not upgrading to Vista just yet.

Cool. The good old "I-dont-want-to-argue-since-IRL-i-dont-have-any-arguments-but-I-cant-force-myself-into-not-making-yet-another-post-hmm-let-me-rephrase-what-he-wrote-in-a-moronic-way-and-i'll-end-with-saying-it's-off-topic-that'll-probably-make-him-shut-up-ha!"-argument.
Been a while since i saw that one! Maybe it's because i havent visited the "gamefaq-forums" for a while? Good work nonetheless, i'm very impressed by your "skillz".

Stop it, you two. I'll probably dual-boot. Happy now? ;)

Wasn't someone working on hacking DX10 into XP? (I realise it's probably against some law) Or did that turn out to be not possible thanks to new data pathways or some such?

Even went as far as diving into the bios once (that's stuff only MCSE certified guys do). And you know what? I CHANGED SOME STUFF IN THERE TO MAKE IT GO FASTER!
Honestly, that really isn't that amazing.

yeah he wasn't sarcastic,
at all.
on-topic (sort of) DX10 is the least impressive thing about Vista imo, i could easily live without that. Would be cool if STALKER uses it more impressively though..
The_Raven on 6/7/2008 at 14:11
Mmm, I really should have known better.

i dont want to add fuel to the fire.. but I never got Stalker to run without glitching itself stupid until I started running vista.

Why do I even need to post again? I've made myself about as clear as I can here. I'm not upgrading to Vista because, despite your just saying so, it isn't much of an improvement over XP. It does some things better here and there, but mostly it's just a lateral upgrade that isn't worth the amount of money MS is charging for it. Simple as that.
You can call me a stupid lazy hater. You can say "Mature? Dudes! The drivers is sooooo mature" all you want. I've said my piece, and so far the only arguments you've offered in reply are "No. You're wrong. It's
tweakable" and "NUH UH! YUR DUM CUZ YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO USE A COMPUTER". Those aren't very convincing arguments. So until you give me a reply with a bit more substance, until you can tell me WHY Vista is so much better than XP, I'm bailing.

Look, it's got nothing to do with the features.
I don't want Vista cus of the DRM they packed into it.
