Well, maybe, but I'm usually sceptical of cumulative mods as they botch or intentionally change features I like. And then collecting many small mods and watching their updates is tedious as well. I used few mods but only those which tune the gameplay or fix obvious glitches. I'm really curious about what the patch brings in, especially the freeplay mode. Then I'll be interested in my third Stalker campaign.

The thing is that with official mod around, everyone would play it, so we could share experience, stories, replay the game with it etc. and it would be more or less professionally balanced (both - new features and difficulty) and playable for average Stalker player. Also, fan mods are constantly updated and it's kinda psychologically hard to settle with any of them (I mean those that actually change gameplay) , because you know there may be another version in, lets say, a week which bring some changes again.

There were tons of similar messages on official forums. Didn't work at all :)
I suppose they lack human resources to do any additional project right now (even a patch).

I heard it's a hoax.
PS: After further exploration it appears there is really... something... leaked... like a demo. Going to mode "immediately find and try".

Even the moderator on the official forums says its real, i doubt he's lying.. there are both videos, pictures and ini-settings posted on different forums. Seems legit..
