After installing the lastest patch I went and took out the Bandit HQ. The reward has been greatly increased (My jaw hit the floor when I saw what I was given), but not 5 minutes later I was told the Bandits had returned. However, not a single one was anywhere to be seen. I search the the depot from top to bottom but none where there. It seems that when you take out a faction's HQ they're gone for good but it's slightly bugged.
Oh hum, another patch needed. :erg:
Also, since when did the Vintar BC do less damage than the PMm?

To properly capture their base you need your mates stay there. They should come from Agroprom, but if Agroprom-Garbage outposts are under control of either Duty or Freedom they will not be able to do that, they're neutral to Duty/Freedom. In that case you'll need to capture the outposts for them.
Devs could discard the requirement in the patch though, so it would be enough to just capture the base, with or without your comrades, but I somehow doubt it.

If the PMm is not upgraded, take into account that Vintar has much better rate of fire and is much more precise so it could be just a game convention to make handguns more useful than they were before.

Is this cumulative or do I have to install 1503-1504-1505?

Could be, but it just seems silly that a cheap, mass produced throw-away pistol has more stopping power than an expensive, finely crafted sniper rifle.
Plus the new patch removes the sniper upgrades for the Tunder (It can only be a storming weapon now) so I can't use that instead. :(

Cumulative.

You mean the scope can't be attached to it anymore? Well, it's pity, but I guess they did so to make sniper rifles more important.

Awesome, thanks.
Since last time I've gotten some script crashes, hope this fixes that.

Are you basing the damage comparision of the pistol and vintar on the damage indicator in game?
If so, don't be so hasty. I'm fairly certain the in game display only represents the weapons damage multiplier. Ammo also has multipliers, so you're only seeing half the story and can't make direct comparisons between weapons using different ammo.

I don't know if you can scope it or not, but you can't buy accuracy upgrades, just rate of fire and recoil.

I didn't know that, I'll have to give the Vintar a whirl and see how it holds up.
Still miffed about the Tunder, though. :(

Well, I for one am giving up on this game for a while. Even with the community patches, 1.5.0.4 is unstable, San Francisco earthquake style. Patch 1.5.0.5 is currently held in a space time anomaly created by an intersection between Valve "When it's done" time and the simple reality that patch or no patch, Clear Sky ain't done.
I'll come back later, after it's been patched to high holy hell and back, and hopefully after GSC finally hires a scripter who's head isn't directly up his own ass.

I've just installed the last patch and I have no more crashes now.
