In that first shot, Goggles is actually standing on the spot where usually a Cyborg Drone is in the original game. At least if that's the room I'm thinking of (and I'm pretty sure that it is). So maybe that's a Cyborg Goggles in that image?
As I said, it's the placeholder Cyborg Drone mesh. In case no one noticed, CCP is a bit short of creature modellers...

So now I know what it is. Now why doesn't it work?

Thanks, Myagi!

It's been discussed often enough, just do a search.
Basically, Sensearound is impossible because Dark doesn't have a render-to-texture feature.

You know, I applaud this conversion effort, but I gotta say to whomever did this "trailer" for the project. . . . this sucks! Not for technical reasons, but a trailer should be done in the spirit of the game. You wake-up dazed and confused after six months of healing coma in a reality gone awry. . . .
This trailer looks more like an attempt at a "speed run." You're hopping-up, collecting implants, weapons, and killing baddies before, the automated wake-up message has even finished playing.
Try recording a trailer that's a little more conducive to setting the mood of the game.

Speaking of that first shot, looks like there are some texture scale issues around the door frame.
Yeah, I noticed that when I posted the shots to the CCP forum. IIRC I fixed that and a couple of other issues (rooms, wrongly scaled shadows and physics, chairs sinking into the floor) before uploading the current medical version.

The original game didn`t have anything like that in it either. It just plonks you down on the first level after the intro movie.
