So anyway, is this going to be put in (the three "stances" and the uberlean) or is it even possible? The ability to lean that much did help at some times... at least for me. :)
Well, leaning is already set up in SS2; I don't know if they're planning to make it a toggle like in SS1 or not.
I think the prone issue was discussed before as being impossible. But I may be wrong.

God I hope not. The leaning flexibility of SS1 was a largely useless excess, and the need for the various crouch levels can be eliminated entirely through slight adjustments to the map design.
And your sig is confusing me. How can the Hacker kick his own ass?
Leaning is already a part of ss2 so wouldn't hurt to still have it right?
How can the Hacker kick his own ass?........very carefully.
Also, remember he is Mr. Gibbon.....i'm sure he could whack his own ass with his hand if he felt the urge :) A little "who's your daddy" every now and again?
Pudding! on 24/6/2005 at 20:18
Is my sig really that confusing? I made it under the impression that EVERYBODY who died on Citadel and got made into a cyborg got that message. Of course, then there'd be a lot more Cortex Reavers, now wouldn't there? :)

SS1 is not a frelling MMORPG. There's only one hacker on Citadel. And you (the player) are that hacker. So you're saying that the hacker kicks the hacker's ass. It doesn't make sense.

I saw that release earlier on page 4 but i cannot figure out how to get it to work. Can anyone help me with my problem (even if the answer is it is not a release)?

I meant everybody who died on Citadel before said Hacker were seeing the same "You died, ha ha loser!" movie that the Hacker gets when he dies, at which point the Hacker comes along and kicks your ass. But since it will stop this little argument, fine. Behold, the signature is changed! :)

There was a release on page 4? I didn't notice that...

Nevermind that isn't a release just some resources for it.

I've just made a demo of the effects I have working so far.
You can grab it here (but beware, Geocities is not the best of web hosts. You may need to copy'n'paste the URL into the address bar.)
(

Nothing is set in stone here, and there are probably quite a few bugs in Citadel.osm that I missed.
Grab it and let me know what you think.
What I have working so far:
* The player's battery, including battery packs, energy weapons, recharging stations, hardware energy usage.
* Most of the hardware:
- Lantern (Unfortunately, even the brightest setting is still too small an area...)
- Shield (Only uses power and adds metaprops. No visual/audible effects yet.)
- Booster (Skate is not implemented yet. No versions. No settings.)
- Night Vision (Experimental 'green light' system.)
- Jump Jets (Experimental. No versions. Power usage incorrect. Simple on/off toggle.)
The following hardware is NOT implemented AT ALL:
EnviroSuit (Still on the ToDo list.)
Sensaround (I'm 99% certain that is impossible in SS2.)
BioMonitor (Redundant. We're not doing fatigue.)
Target Info (Not really hardware; not sure how to do this yet.)
Status (I'm not sure where to put all this info...)
Also, I haven't done any of the patches yet. These will probably all require custom scripts:
Staminup Stimultant (Not to be included.)
Sight Vision Enhancement (Maybe do something similar to night vision?)
Berserk Combat Booster (Probably just increase the STRENGTH attribute...)
Medipatch Healing Agent (The Med Hypo scripts will work fine.)
Reflex Reaction Aid (I have some crazy ideas...)
Genius Mind-Enhancer (We'll need some puzzles to solve, first.)
Detox Universal Antidote (This is not a once-off patch in SS1.)
Enjoy the demo, and let me know what you think works well, what needs improvement, and what you did to make it crash.

As much as sensaround has been unanimously voted useless in ss2 (with some warrant) its a shame it can't be done. I personally enjoyed using it especially against those bloody auto bombs

Bearing in mind that I'm DromEd-clueless, and that this is probably an extremely obvious question-- is it easy in SS2 to have patches trigger psi powers? Like in this case, a patch triggering the Psychogenic Strength psi power? Seems like the easiest interface for all status effects.
