Slight necro, apologies, but my Chrome up and stopped working a few days ago. Won't open at all, just spews errors. Too lazy to reinstall atm, just reverted to Firefox.
Anyone else getting this?

No, but watching videos on it(chrome), through hulu, you tube, etc...usually lock up the browser.

One of my favorite radio programs, (
http://www.onthemedia.org) On The Media, has Bob Garfield interviewing a Google VP on the Chrome browser. True to the incisive nature of the program, he does grill her about Chrome's information collecting tactics, but she does skate away several times.
It's good reading/listening for anyone concerned with Google and any privacy issues with the data they're collecting.

" I command you to rise how many times can I pull that old game crap before even I'm bored? Gak!
Anyhoo - I'm not liking Chrome anymore and was wondering what the opinion was now it's a bit more, er, bedded in. I think I'm going back to FF and I'll just keep Chrome as a curiosity/to test pages on (like Opera and IE).
It just seems unreliable to me. It flakes out occasionally and sometimes won't connect, even to gmail, when FF will.
So... opinions?

It breaks one or two of the forums I visit (When I make a post, I can't see what I'm typing until I change my focus to the background). If it weren't for that, I'd be using it.

The only things I don't like about it are that it doesn't save tabs on a crash like Firefox does and it doesn't give you a choice on startup to either open the tabs that were last open or open a certain set of tabs. Otherwise, it's a nice browser. Definitely takes a lot less memory than Firefox 3.

Weird, the few times Chrome has crashed on me it immediately restarted and asked me if I wanted to load all the tabs I had open.
Enchantermon on 2/2/2009 at 02:56
Did it? Maybe that was implemented some time after mine crashed, then.
Okay, so I only have one complaint. :)
