So there's a Chrome extension (Vimeo downloader) I'd like to back up, as it's been removed from the extension store. I have it installed on Chrome and it works great. But here's the kicker: I have
no idea where it is on my computer.
The Appdata extensions folder has most of them (each folder is named after the extension ID), but notice how that extension and another similar one are missing (I also searched the extension name in Windows explorer). Anyone know where these ghost extensions could be?

The record industry complained to Microsoft that Youtube DL (Down Loader) in their Github repository was being used to copy their videos - a violation of copyright protection software or work around. You may be experiencing the same thing with Vimeo & Chrome the extension.

Yeah I'm sure that's why they were removed from the store, but the mystery remains, where is my browser getting the extension files to keep them working?

I use Firefox instead of Chrome but Firefox does rely on Google for some of its services - at least that is the way i understand it. I fired up Firefox one day and all my extensions and header themes were gone. This happened after a update, and Firefox admitted they screwed something up. It took a day or so but all my extensions magically reappeared. It was kind of spooky that they can do that --> even by accident. I'm not very computer knowledgeable so maybe someone will come along and tell us how they can do that.
