Actually that's basically what it's for, i can plug the interface into anything that accepts midi data. Or I can USB into the computer and use whatever soft synths are available.
But i can also use it for sample triggering and the like.
I can blend the signals too. Kind of run them in parallel, straight guitar, ans then synthesizer at the same time.

EDIT: Just to be clear I hadn't actually read the Avatar thread when I posted this, quite the coincidence. It's just my standard response for white on white violence.
