Laser Laser more like DVNO redux. No wonder you like it.
Yeah, just some Justice-wannabe is what I thought when I heard it first as well. But somehow it stuck around on my playlist and after I'd heard it a few times it started sounding... kinda good. Very good, in fact.

I also forgot to list my pick for most shitty album of the year:
Whatever Nick Cave ReleasedI'd post a picture of a giant turd but I can't be arsed at the moment.
That's just as fresh and witty as your Crouching Turd, Hidden Diarrhea routine.
The interrnet has caused me to completely lose track of album releases. Weird, since it should be easier than ever, especially with Spotify around, but usually I end up digging through various back catalogues instead.

Well I'm glad to hear it because that's my main goal here at ttlg: to be witty.

and apparently, deploy cutting edge internet sarcasm.
Fortunately I'm wise to that particular device.

3. Rubik - Dada Bandits
4. Ghost Brigade - Isolation Songs
5. Aavikko - Novo Atlantis
6. Gordon's Tsunami Weekend - Dropped by Branches
7. Tortoise - Beacons of Ancestorship

I quite like it but even on that link one of the commenters mentions Ed Banger. Its not that the band sound like Justice, its that that track sounds like DVNO.

I still haven't written my list, but I'll do it soon.
Meanwhile, I made a 90 minute mix of some of my favourite tracks from the last year. It contains a lot of disparate genres, but I've tried to pace them in such a way that the changes are natural—interesting and hopefully not jarring (fancy edits help too, and by fancy I mean clever fade-ins).

(yeah this be
medium quality shit)
I'd rather it be listened to without initially knowing the tracklisting, so I'll post the names in a day or two along with my list. :)

Some cool tracks in there, wasn't aware of the Michael McDonald B-Side, though I'm not sure which version I like better. Definitely want to have a gander at that track list though.
