iTunes has released a 21 track Christmas mix for free with artists like Amy Grant, Mannheim Steamroller, Weezer, Barry Manilow, Sarah McLachlan, and even Steven Colbert. I'm not sure of the general suckage of it since I only just started the download, but it might be worth checking out. If I may suggest one good thing for Christmas it's The Complete Stax-Volt Singles 1959-1968. Perfect to get cosy with your lovely while the snow is falling outside. (Tested that.)
Stax-Volt were a soul record label. To get an idea of their artists/musical style see (http://www.schwarzsilber.de/stax-volt-tour-of-norway-1967/) this footage of the Stax Volt Tour of Norway 1967. The single collection contains studio material and there's more quiet songs.

I tend to cruise around the Trans Siberian Orchestra's Christmas stuff these days.

Its the classic tunes but with a modern twist on them - and by "modern", I mean they use electric guitars, bass guitars and DRUMS.
