Clearly Strontium Dog is a right royal party pooper, for who wouldn't want their death screams to be broadcast around the internet as a morbid curiosity. Shame on you Strontium :nono:

Aren't the phone calls just released? Therefore it's new news and of certain public interest given it's content.
If the towers went down today it would be news, this is just morbid fascination/masturbation.
morbid fasturbation.

Agreeing with stronts on this one, I don't need to listen to this to know that the people on the plane went through hell. Unneccesary.

I heard about some blind woman on the radio who was more than 100 stories up the world trade center and she made it down by the stairs.,

I never thought I'd say this, but, I agree with stronts. We know what happened, we don't need this. I acknowledge that we must never forget, so that we remember what some humans are capable of, but, on the other hand, morbid obsession with the events of that day is not normal.

It was particularly notable that the reports of the recent terrorist trial in the US (the guy whose name I can neither remember nor spell) mentioned all the "emotional footage" of 9/11 that was played in the courtroom.
Apparently even the justice system is more interested in whining about how awful an event was, rather than analysing the facts and evidence that is relevant to the case.
Vigil on 18/6/2006 at 21:24
Just because it was emotional doesn't mean it wasn't relevant to the trial. That said, I can't really see any way most of it could be relevant. So yeah.
In any case while I deeply hate all these threads and agree with Stronts' sentiments, I think it's a weeeeeeensy bit hypocritical of him after that trainwreck of a thread he started last time about the utterly compelling documentary.

Yes, fixed for the kids at home who read through sarcasm-coloured glasses.
